Chad Daring/Chef in Jeans‘ article “The No Fat Chicks Challenge” is the gift that keeps on giving. Yesterday evening, it was linked at Who Needs Feminism?, the Tumblelog where fat-assed she-beasts and big-titted blubberboys gather to strike vicious blows against the patriarchy:

this is not fat hate or fat phobia.this is bringing women down to “fuck machines”(as 1 commenter very eloquently put). this is misogyny.

It was subsequently reblogged across the entirety of Tumblr, with enraged femilosers adding such trenchant commentary as:

yeah because we stay fit ONLY so we can get good looking dick.
wow men are SO gross.

this is fucking disgusting. as if, in this day and age, anyone feels they can justify talking this way. this makes me feel sick.

This article makes me want to castrate all men who think like this and rip their vocal chords out so maybe they’ll understand what it’s like to be a female whose opinions are NOT listened to and who is reduced to a “fuck machine” without any sexual activity because apparently personalities aren’t sexy but being a hanger thin puppet is.

Wow, I literally just threw up a little. Seriously, what the fuck did I just read. This is disgusting and degrading. Yeah, I’m a fat chick, no big deal. Yeah, it’s my fault that I’m fat because, hey, I like food! But, I’m healthy, I work out and I eat right. But still, this was probably the most degrading and repulsive thing I have ever read. What’s funny, beyond the obvious sight of over-pampered shut-ins hyperventilating over Internet articles, is that Chad’s article is pretty mild by IMF standards. His argument was simply that men should not sleep with fat girls because of their fatness. In other words, he was saying that we guys should leave fat girls alone to their Haagen-Dazs and tears. Despite this, half of the haters left comments like, “Well, if you don’t like fat women, don’t date them.”

Uh, no shit. That’s EXACTLY what we’re doing.

These histrionic little girls are full of it. They don’t want fat acceptance — they want to FORCE men to be attracted to their endless rolls of fat and their cheesy crotch creases. Fortunately, their emotional delicateness will ensure that they will fail. We are the Patriarchs, and we’re coming to take back what’s ours. Beware.

And major props to Chad for pissing them off.

Considering Suicide by Andy Nowicki

As promised, here’s what I have to say about Nowicki’s first novel — it’s okay. Merely okay. Granted, it’s better than 99% of the crap out there, but by the standards of The Columbine Pilgrim and Under the Nihil, it doesn’t measure up.

Considering Suicide is an epistolary novel concerning an unnamed narrator who’s contemplating ending it all. That’s my first problem with it — I hate Hate HATE epistolary novels. Under the Nihil has a similar style, but Suicide is Nowicki’s first novel and it shows. The book reads like a deranged rant, which is appropriate concerning the subject matter, but it gets a little boring.

My second problem with Considering Suicide is that it’s too long. It’s not that long — only about 210 pages — but Nowicki’s best working in the short story or novella format. The book seems to drag.

Despite all this, Considering Suicide is a great, funny read. If you’ve enjoyed Nowicki’s other books, you’ll be right at home here:

It’s really nothing less than rape, this treatment. The television industry gets inside you, tricks you into thinking you’re a part of their scene. They use you to sell products and throw you away afterwards. As if you were an unwanted fetus, a conceptus after the rape. They: your seducer and killer. At once fucking you and aborting you.
Of course, those poor fat chicks are probably excited to have someone pay attention to them at all, even if they are just being used. They are flattered to be raped at all. Having despaired of ever being rape victim material, they are only too happy to lay back and enjoy it.

To make a long story short, prolific Tweeter and soi-disant “Controversial Alpha Pick-Up Artist” Social Kenny recently debuted his podcast in which he brings the claws out [sic'd]:

The Columbine Pilgrim by Andy Nowicki

Holy fuck, this is one messed-up book. A great and entertaining book, to be sure, but seriously messed up.

I had actually intended to review this book and Nowicki’s first novel Considering Suicide months ago, but I misplaced my paperback copies and only recently found them again. I’ll see if I can get to Considering Suicide next week, but The Columbine Pilgrim is on a whole other level of disturbing. The easiest way to describe Columbine is that it’s the fictional companion to Mark Ames’ Going Postal (though I doubt Ames and Nowicki could stand to be in the same room without coming to blows), a case study into the psychology of spree shooters.

Columbine’s plot concerns the tale of Tony Meander, a lifelong loser who abandons his graduate school studies to make a “pilgrimage” to Columbine High School on the anniversary of the infamous killings. Or at least that’s what it seems like; the Prologue, which takes up more than half of the book, is written from Meander’s viewpoint and makes it clear that he’s a gibbering madman. And when I describe him as a “lifelong loser,” I mean it — this guy is a hopeless dweeb in every conceivable way, bullied mercilessly during his high school years:

“Why don’t you just rape those fucking bitches, you pussy!” my God-self exhorted, again. “You’re a man, you’ve got a hard-on, you’re stronger than all of those mean little cunts! Throw ’em all on the floor and show ’em who’s boss—lose your virginity and teach ’em a lesson, all at once!”
But I did no such thing. Instead, I saw myself shake, in fact, tremble with fear and embarrassment. And on this day, of all days, Patti seemed in a particularly frisky and sadistic mood, and uninclined to leave anything to anyone’s imagination. She grabbed my neck, put her face close to mine, practically within kissing range, and her tone changed to one of frank disgust.
“Have you got an erection, Tony?” she spat. “Who do you think you are, anyway? You really think I find you hot or something? You want to fuck me? Listen, you pathetic retard . . . YOU WILL NEVER FUCK ME. NEVER!”

Nowicki’s prose is violent and unsettling, like Celine or Houellebecq without the blunting barrier of translation, capturing the pathetic nature of his protagonist and the cruel savagery of his enemies. The plot is best described as “reluctantly predictable,” in that you can sense where it’s going from a long way but consciously, you pray it doesn’t go there. And then it does, and worse. I won’t spoil any of it, but the final paragraphs of “Chapter One” (the second half of the book, written from a third-person viewpoint) unnerved me, and I’m the guy writing under the “Ferdinand Bardamu” pseudonym.

But before you start thinking that there’s some namby-pamby “anti-bullying” moral at the end, quash those thoughts. If anything, The Columbine Pilgrim is the perfect antidote to that crap, more Welcome to the Dollhouse than Bully. Meander is unjustifiably abused, to be sure, but he’s just as morally bankrupt and twisted as his tormentors, narcissistic and dangerously delusional. It’s my kind of book, where every character is a scumbag, no one is innocent and nobody gets out alive (almost nobody, anyway). If you enjoy Houellebecq, John Dolan, or Heartiste, you’ll absolutely enjoy The Columbine Pilgrim.

Under the Nihil by Andy Nowicki

Nowicki’s most recent release, it’s not as disturbing as Columbine but just as poignant. The plot concerns an unnamed narrator cut from the same cloth as Tony Meander, a lifelong fuck-up kicked out of seminary school for being a megalomaniacal nutcase. After a failed stint as a “badass nihilist poseur,” he’s approached by a government agent who pays him handsomely to become a test subject for an experimental drug known as “nihil.” Nihil acts to suppress all of your inhibitions, including your fear of death, and is being developed for American soldiers to give them the same resolve possessed by their Muslim enemies.

Like with Columbine, Nihil’s protagonist is so hopelessly psychotic it’s difficult to discern between reality and his delusions. After he begins taking the drug, he falls in with Clarissa, a slutty, past-her-prime divorcee with an equally slutty daughter. You can see where this is going:

I got together with Clarissa many times after that. For the next month, we met on several occasions at various locations: movie theaters, restaurants, bars. I always gallantly paid for everything, leaving little doubt that I did indeed consider these meetings to be “dates.” Clarissa accepted my lack of wheels with equanimity; she was, indeed, “slumming” with me in every way imaginable. I gathered from further conversations that she always felt a kind of grudging respect for “bookish” men. Not an attraction, exactly, for Clarissa was unquestionably inclined towards the “alpha male” sort of man: she didn’t usually date nerds; she dated the kind of guys who beat up and humiliated nerds for sport.
At the same time, she’d become increasingly aware that “geeky” types possessed a kind of wisdom that frequently escaped the beautiful people, and this entirely separate line of knowledge intrigued her a little, in spite of herself, particularly since many a geek had gone on to conquer a broad swath of the world and earn a fortune in one way or another, in every way outshining the broad-shouldered, square-jawed alpha dogs with whom she’d mostly consorted: this group, by contrast, frequently turned into alcoholic, philandering failures, as she well knew from bitter experience.

Once again, I won’t spoil the plot, but I will say that Nihil doesn’t end in a way you’d expect. Buy this book.

Liberalism as Secular Calvinism: The Wisconsin Recall Elections

I’ve been trying not to pay attention to politics, so I’ve been mercifully unaware that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is facing a recall election next month. If you’ll recall, Walker is the libertarian asshole and unrepentant Koch-whore who spent the better part of last year trying to smash Wisconsin’s public employees unions as part of his plan to reduce the state’s budget deficit… while pushing through a major tax cut for businesses. This follows on the heels of a series of recall elections last year that saw two Republican state Senators removed from office. There are also going to be more senatorial recall elections alongside the gubernatorial one.

As you can tell, I’m not a fan of Governor Walker. Nonetheless, he and the Republican majorities in both houses of the Wisconsin legislature were democratically elected by a plurality of voters, the republican principles that America was founded on. I’m no expert on recall elections (they being nonexistent in the not-so-great American Northeast), but as far as I recall, they’re reserved for when the lawmaker in question has committed a serious crime or ethical breach. Union-busting isn’t illegal, and neither is taking campaign contributions from billionaires — if it were, every single federal-level politician with the possible exceptions of Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich would be behind bars. Walker and the Republican senators aren’t being recalled for breaking the law, they’re being recalled for pushing policies that liberals disagree with.

Which wouldn’t be such a huge deal if it weren’t for the fact that liberals worship democracy and the will of the people — until those same people vote against liberals. Then it’s on, bitch.

Last week, Thrasymachus posted on yet another piece of evidence showing that liberalism is nothing more than secular Puritanism:

People of course tend to think their own level of adherence to the law is correct; they then labeled those with a more lax view “antinomians”, or “those without law”. “As early as 1525, Johannes Agricola, in his commentary on Luke, advanced his idea that the law was a futile attempt of God to work the restoration of mankind. He viewed sin as a malady or impurity rather than an offense rendering the sinner guilty and damnable before God. Instead, the sinner was the subject of God’s pity rather than of his wrath. To Agricola, the purpose of repentance was to abstain from evil rather than the contrition of a guilty conscience. The law had no role in repentance, which came about after one came to faith and was caused by the knowledge of the love of God alone.”
Two key points- one, most important for this matter, is that the believer is above the law. Two, sin is a disease, but that is for another day.
Not only do all the leftist commenters think that leftist protesters are above the law, their pseudo-conservative toady Friedersdorf does too. Essentially, we have a two-tier society. Leftist politicians, government officials, educators, and other activists are of the true religion. There actions are blessed. The law is something for them to use against others. It is a sword and a shield for them.

The phrase “vote until you get it right” is a conservative joke lobbied at liberal attempts to repeatedly force people to vote on something until the results go in a leftist direction. It’s been done in Portugal, which was forced to vote on legalizing abortion again and again until the people got sick of it and just said yes, anything to make the leftists shut up and go away. It was done in Ireland, when the voters there rejected the Lisbon treaty despite all three major political parties endorsing it, only to be forced to vote on it AGAIN the following year. And let’s not get into the circus that has been gay marriage in California.

This process shows that liberals couldn’t give a flying fuck about democracy or what the people want. The god that leftists worship is egalitarianism, and their devotion to it overrides all of their other concerns. When they get their way at the ballot box, all is well and good. When they don’t, they’ll abuse the democratic process in any way, shape or form until their will is the law of the land. If a majority of people vote to ban gay marriage, liberals will go to the courts and have the laws declared unconstitutional by an unelected star chamber. If a majority of people elect Republicans to public office, liberals will repeatedly force recall elections until those Republicans get tossed out.

Further evidence of the Calvinist mindset of liberals is how they react to people who AREN’T liberals. This is where the What’s the Matter with Kansas? types come in, claiming that Middle Americans have been led from the one true path by evil corporations and billionaires (i.e. sinners have been led astray by Satan). Liberals simply cannot conceive that anyone might disagree with them, any more than a 17th-century Puritan could conceive of someone choosing not to believe in God. The fact that Middle Americans, like Scott Walker’s electoral base, really are that stupid and venal doesn’t enter their minds at all.

Now, if liberals could put a tenth of the effort that they’ve expended on recalling governors of flyover country states into taking down their false corporatist messiah Obama, this country might actually get out of the hole we’re in.
