I had an insight about why we want a local economy; to slow down the money. Money rushes through us in the present world. Mammon Sachs gives it to us just long enough for us to have lodging this month and food for today, and then they take it back in a whirl so we can’t accumulate capital or be our own lenders. A local economy can slow down money, and have an alternate banking system.
The goal of the local economy is that every participant should be able to accumulate capital and become the owner of an income producing asset, while being part of a community that helps itself live more frugally.
My vision is a network of businesses and apartment buildings and farms in the area of a county. The tenants/employees work for the businesses/farms and those who work hard can buy out a business become an owner himself, at which time he can opt to leave the network or stick around and work with us. I think they’ll tend to stick around.
A network like this can operate more efficiently than the corporate system and thus accumulate capital/profit by taking advantage of the horrendous inefficiency of the corporate system.
The owners and the tenants/employees are able to accumulate capital by things like:
- Owning one car per five people, or even per en.
- Accumulate a diversity of businesses doing things that that we ourselves need, so as much of our expenses as possible is recycled back into our own network.
- Own apartment buildings as “co-ops” so when your apartment is paid off, all you do is contribute to a pool for upkeep, utilties and taxes for the building.
- Farms that have the community as a guaranteed buyer. Start up a food processing center to process the farm surplus and create food storehouses for the community to purchase from. Also, if the permits and licenses can be obtained, sell the farm product (both fresh and processed) at convenience stores we own. Thus the farms and processors are both a source of jobs/startup businesses. One thing I can tell you about farming is that producing the food is easy; the hard part is making any money at it. You need to have your own infrastructure that will process it and purchase it from you. But once we have that we can pretty much put the local supermarkets out of business.
It will all be very decentralized. Freeloaders, incompetents, psychopaths and losers can potentially be a problem, so it will be set up a bit like Masonry, with “degrees” or “ranks” given to people who the community agrees demonstrate character and integrity and industriousness. With higher degrees comes the opportunity to take over a business and get put on a payment plan to own the business. There would probably be only three ranks though, just as a method for weeding people out, and then it will go decentralized. Once you own a business, you can do what you please. Continued association with the network has to be voluntary and mutually beneficial.
Considering that the education bubble is going to pop soon, homeschooling for both primary and secondary education will also be an element. Public school will be ruthlessly cut, especially the buses and teacher/administrator pay. A lot of colleges and universities are going to become abandoned lots like the factories and mental hospitals that litter the New England landscape.
A generation or two of homeschooling will be politically revolutionary. The Folk can create our own colleges. Just from the contacts in my cell phone (and myself), a Folk university could be created that would have a Department of Classics, Math, Engineering (electrical and chemical) Physics/Chem/Bio/Pre-Med, Russian Language and Literature, History, and even Psychology/Hypnosis/NLP. However, we must beware of losing this knowledge when the collapse hits.
But if we do preserve the knowledge, we will have a country of revolutionary mindweapons after 2 generations of homeschooling.

A twist on Walden II?
Perhaps, but I don’t expect it to be that perfect. Just an association of competitiong minded and tribalist homeschooling families and entrepreneurs, all of whom will have their flaws and problems.
How white would everyone need to be?
I think it will be implicitly white, and since it will be a network based on choice and free association, most people will choose to associate with other whites, some may not.
I think the multiracial society is a function of the cargo cult society, where the gods give more cargo to people who go along with the left wing degeneracy agenda than to those such as conservatives and white nationalists who hate left wing degeneracy culture.
So when we have a more free society with local economies, it will generally break down on racial lines. It’s likely we’ll trade with Asians though, as they are very industrious. and we don’t have the power yet to create our White ethnostate. Asians will probably cleanse their lebensraum if there is no one to stop them, too. And when we do create a White ethnostate it will be a piece or pieces of the country initially, and if we reconquista the rest of the country, it will be by attrition. Where there are no whites, there will be Detroit, abandonment, and die off. Then we simply re-occupy. It’s inevitable there will be Asian colonies, however.
I think resource scarcity may end up not being a function of “running out” but rather a failure of infrastructure due to the breaking of the social contract by the banksters. The banksters are causing collapse by stealing all the money and leaving people poor, and not investing in maintaining the infrastructure of the US. Better yet, what they really need to do, as Kunstler says, is invest in trains, not roads. Not high speed rail, just ordinary choo choo trains.
If the US was a functioning society I could walk to the still functioning railroad tracks (the trains only haul cargo between Worcester and Providence) that are about a mile from me, hop a train to Worcester then to Boston, or Providence then to Boston and work at some well paid IT job or have some business in Boston, and then go home to my inexpensive rural mill town.
I, and a lot of people like me, have a lot of talent going unused simply because we can not afford to live in Boston (or other American cities) while hordes of welfare people live their for free and get all kinds of affirmative action benefits handed to them. But if we had a rail system, I could still work in Boston despite the welfare hordes. But we don’t have even that, so I am stranded in the boondocks because this is where I can afford to live.
So I am making the best of it and learning what Russians call Selskokhozyaistvo, or “Village Husbandry.” America’s true economy, it’s organic household that it once was that could produce everything for itself, is broken and unused, like an abandoned mill. That was a great crime that was done to us — a creative and industrious people. Guess who did it? YKW.
So my mission in life is to try to restart that broken and abandoned cultural household. Other people want to do this too. They know that this is what is missing in life, but they won’t take action until they lose faith in the cargo cult.
The cargo cult religion is a black magic mind-fuck on the American people.
I want to tell you guys something that might sound weird; witchcraft is real. It’s not “supernatural” but rather psychological.
The wand for black magic is the wood of the holly tree. Holly wood — get it. It’s all about black magic. They were saying it right to our face.
So to reverse the black magic cargo cult mass media mind fuck, we roll our own homegrown local economy and hang out with our neighbors and ignore tv and other mass entertainments. especially don’t let the kids watch tv.
I hung out with some people yesterday, throwing a frisbee around a parking lot and drinking a beer, and let me tell you, it was really nice. Nothing big, nothing expensive, nothing fancy. A butch lesbian was working on her car and we were laughing about that. Someone walked by that one of the guys knew and he talked to him; the guy is going to be deployed to Afghanistan in a few months. It was an honest good time, much better than canned entertainments that contain a poisonous agenda.
Local economy will lead to local socialization. Undoing the Hollywood black magic is as simple as restoring neighborliness.
One of the issues with such a society is how to keep members in line and civil with one another, without resorting to some form of coercion (penalty system) or behavioral conditioning such as proposed in Walden II. That is to say, how does one get people to want to act civilly without manipulating them to do so.
I suggest Natural Law, as espoused by Richard Maybury in his “Uncle Eric” series of books. Presented as a voluntary contract, as was the case with it’s forebear Common Law, a person who does not understand and agree to observe Natural Law, and thus avail themselves of its protections, would simply not be welcome in the community. Thus, community participation is voluntary, but implies acceptance of the Natural Law contract.
I highly recommend the Uncle Eric books “Whatever Happened to Justice” and “Whatever Happened to Penny Candy”. They are written by an American for Americans, but friends of other nationalities and cultures have also found them quite interesting. I personally use them as a litmus test; anyone who does not understand or agree with the principles therein is not someone I would want to associate or especially do business with.
