Doomed to Repeat It

In homage to Advocatus Diaboli’s series of posters slamming escaped mental patient and Republican presidential contender Michele Bachmann, I’ve created my own:

I’m almost thinking of registering as a Republican to vote for Bachmann in the primaries. Not because I agree with her on anything – she’s a batshit insane cunt. I’ll vote for her because her batshit insane cuntiness will provide hours upon hours of entertainment, so we can at least laugh as America and the world sails into the abyss.

OMG Ferd quoted Marx, he’s a COMMIE!

2 Advocatus Diaboli August 21, 2011 at 1:35 pm

Ferd,

I did point out in one of my posters that Hitler was considered unelectable in 1930. Bachmann is far more electable than many think.. though doing so might have some undesirable consequences.

3 Stoner With a Boner August 21, 2011 at 1:54 pm

voting for her is either really dangerous or a really good idea….

really dangerous if she wins-very possible oBummer could be usurped by ANY republican….

very funny if she did win the republican nomination then was crushed by oBummer….

4 Stoner With a Boner August 21, 2011 at 1:59 pm

oh and in my opinion being given a choice between democrat or republican is like being given a choice of being punched in the face or kicked in the balls….both suck!

5 red August 21, 2011 at 2:03 pm

I don’t get it. You don’t like Corn Dog Sucking girl because she nuts and yet you think a complete nutcase like Advocatus Diaboli is fine?

6 JJ August 21, 2011 at 3:02 pm

She has fully, exactly, totally, completely zero in common with AH. That anybody would make that comparison is not surprising, given that the US population has off-shored thinking to hysterical Khazars.

7 Marco August 21, 2011 at 3:11 pm

You are a Marxist, we all know. The good news is that Mises’ Socialism cures that little ‘theory’.

8 JJ August 21, 2011 at 3:19 pm

Marx vs Mises. Which utopian nonsense shall the West embrace next?

How about something from the Occident for the Occident? A good engineer sat down and solved quite a few problems:

red: Only one of those people is running for a major party’s Presidential nomination.

JJ: They have nothing in common, aside from being transparently nutty demagogues with disturbingly large fanbases who came to prominence in the middle of economic turmoil…but who cares about that shit?

10 Gx1080 August 21, 2011 at 5:04 pm

It comes again to the retarded act of treating political parties as sport teams, people don’t care that Bachmann is crazy, in fact, they WANT crazy, crazy enough to stand fearless in front of the Liberal Media Juggernaut and beat the Dems TO THE GROUND.

11 JJ August 21, 2011 at 5:09 pm

Hitler was a revolutionary who advocated a fundamentally different way of organizing the society. Bachmann is just a person who aspires lead the system and not to change it in any meaningful way.

12 Advocatus Diaboli August 21, 2011 at 6:25 pm

@Ferd

I could not be as nutty as Bachmann, even if I tried. She is far more scary than Perry, either of those two mormon guys, or Ron Paul because she is a true believer.

It might be hard for most of your readers to understand this, but that cunt actually believes in all the stuff she talks about. Let that sink into the CONservative cheerleaders reading this.

13 Marco August 21, 2011 at 6:55 pm

“Which utopian nonsense shall the West embrace next?”

A market economy based on property rights ‘utopian nonsense’? The utopia is the social system that failed, collapsed and then proceeded to adopt the former, which is the only reason you are clothed, fed and have access to all the amenities of modern life.

Doh.

14 Frank August 21, 2011 at 7:05 pm

@Marco a market economy based on property rights is common sense. However in every realm of life aside from the economical, Misesians are batshit insane autistics.

15 Nestorius August 21, 2011 at 7:37 pm

red,
Why would you be afraid from Advocatus? The man is having sex on a regular basis and is indulging in all sorts of pleasures.

16 JJ August 21, 2011 at 8:16 pm

Frank, less autistic and more aspergery.

The “market” is in itself a utopian concept. There is no such thing as a market. Where does the market begin and end? It is an undefinable, unquantifiable, utopian concept. Price signals are useful. Prices do not exist in a vacuum of perfect competition and rational rent seeking individuals.

Populist, nationalist, social credit rooted politics will be best for “our people”. By the way, “our people” is not a utopian concept.

17 PA August 21, 2011 at 9:46 pm

Would you mind summarizing your objection to Bachmann, other then her eating style? Is it the Christianity thing?

I am a single-issue voter: immigration. No one to the left of Tom Tancredo gets my vote for president. I don’t know Bachman’s position in this yet but I fear she might be a neocon.

18 Gx1080 August 21, 2011 at 10:04 pm

The economic and social aspects of human life are linked. Is common sense, but we all know that such thing isn’t common at all.

And the idea that the market doesn’t exists is retarded. People trading stuff with each other is a basis of human history, same as the evolution of a currency to go beyond simple bartering. Well defined property rights were also an evolution to at least attempt to go beyond the Wild West way of protecting your territory with a gun 24/7. All of the above were good things, because they allowed human beings to (mostly) live in peace with each other, at least compared to African-style tribal warfare.

Of course that the Banker-Masta racket is an aberration. But the Socialist way of everybody holding hands on lalaland while being taken care by the angelic state is out of touch with reality.

19 JJ August 21, 2011 at 10:33 pm

Socialist vs Capitalist is not OF us but FOR us. Schiff vs Trotsky, Naomi Klein and Chomsky vs Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand.

Nationalistic populism is sensible and OF us. It is the natural way for rooted societies to mind their own. We improve our own by focusing on our own.

A market can exist. The market does not exist.

20 Gx1080 August 21, 2011 at 11:03 pm

Chomsky vs. Ayn Rand.

Brrrr. Whorever wins, everybody else loses.

Another bubble to burst, no country can afford to not trade with other countries, specially on this day and age. The difference between a global market and the global market is semantics. On whose terms the trades are made, well, that’s a worthwile pursuit, though Nationalistic populism tend to lead to Communist Warlords, so is a shitty system for other.

Again, whoever wins, everybody else loses.

21 JJ August 21, 2011 at 11:29 pm

Nationalistic populism tend to lead to Communist Warlords

^ You don’t know what you’re talking about. How old are you?

Which utopian nonsense shall the West embrace next?

How about something from the Occident for the Occident?

Distributism, as articulated by Belloc and Chesterton.

24 JJ August 22, 2011 at 12:26 am

Rick, if usury is prohibited, we’ve got a deal.

PA:

Would you mind summarizing your objection to Bachmann, other then her eating style? Is it the Christianity thing?

Nope, it’s the “totally fucking crazy” thing:

Bachmann is a religious zealot whose brain is a raging electrical storm of divine visions and paranoid delusions. She believes that the Chinese are plotting to replace the dollar bill, that light bulbs are killing our dogs and cats, and that God personally chose her to become both an IRS attorney who would spend years hounding taxpayers and a raging anti-tax Tea Party crusader against big government. She kicked off her unofficial presidential campaign in New Hampshire, by mistakenly declaring it the birthplace of the American Revolution. “It’s your state that fired the shot that was heard around the world!” she gushed. “You are the state of Lexington and Concord, you started the battle for liberty right here in your backyard.”

LOL not so different from any usual Christian.

And that other candidate, who refuse evolution?

(For sure you have a weak spot for Advocatus.)

28 PA August 22, 2011 at 6:52 am

A “Rolling Stone” smear job of a conservative Republican? Weak sauce. I mainline my politics straight from Bob Guccione’s “Hustler”.

29 PA August 22, 2011 at 7:02 am

Oops, a typo. I meant “Larry Flynt’s.”

30 Anonymous August 22, 2011 at 8:18 am

There is no way in hell she will get the nod. It’s theater, pure political theater as rigged as pro wrestling.

Perry will get the nom, but grudgingly, as McCain did. Romney is the ‘party man’ but the fundies will never, ever vote for someone they consider an apostate. If they repeat 2008 and pick Bachmann as VP, you’ll know they’ve given up even trying to hide the joke of it all.

The establishment has no reason at all to replace Obama. He has done everything they want, in spades. The far left voters will support Obama under any conditions…he could get caught with a hooker in his trunk at this point. Same with the far right and whomever the GOP puts up. The independents will swing it, and even they now realize they’re being screwed and that BO punked them. If it’s Perry/[random non-descript white male VP] then I give Obama a 50-50 shot at a second term given the impending double-dip. If they put Bachman on, BO will win in a landslide, if only to save us from the crazy.

The American voter is ignorant, misinformed, short-sighted, gullible, and easily distractable, but as a whole, not outright stupid.

31 Rick August 22, 2011 at 8:55 am

if usury is prohibited, we’ve got a deal.

@JJ:
My understanding of Distributism is that it was invented to eliminate usury from the West.

Also, check out the Mondragon Co-operative. They seem to have eliminated the problem of foreign lenders, and possibly they might have eliminated usury altogether.

@Anonymous:
Sarah Palin might run for the presidency! She’s probably got fewer scandals in her closet than Prick Erry.

32 knuckledragger August 22, 2011 at 1:31 pm

Bachmann is a silly, silly bitch…but that Austrian house-painter might have been onto something….

33 J.M. August 22, 2011 at 3:53 pm

@ J.J.

Populist solutions? Well I see we can draw paralels with Hugo Chavez. Why don’t the people understand that if the West is to survive it has to revert to its roots, CHRISTIAN roots and by Christian It`s doesnt mean Amerikan apostates. How can otherwise intelligent people not understand that the market is not a creation of the mind only, they live through everyday either to buy a product or to get laid?

Modern “capitlalism certainly is an abomination and hopefully will meet it end sooner than later.

34 G.L.Piggy August 22, 2011 at 5:11 pm

Who was Michelle Bachmann 3 months ago? She’s a strawman candidate created by CNN and MSNBC.

Ron Paul has had much more grassroots support than Bachmann but all of a sudden she gets so much media attention from these outfits? (I won’t ignore that Fox also has a part to play in this; they don’t much care for Ron Paul either).

If the media had transferred all of the attention they’ve paid from Bachmann to Paul how do you think things would be shaping up? They’re king makers and king breakers.

35 Taeshawndrix Bicksnewd Freeman, PhD August 22, 2011 at 6:36 pm

Why would any self respecting man vote for a woman President? Anyone who would should be bullycided.

37 Astounded August 28, 2011 at 10:52 pm

Ferdinand-

I’m very, very sorry to say that I think I’ve lost my faith in your ability to think clearly. As much as I truly love your work here and the site itself, I’ll never be able to take you seriously again. Unless- and I pray this is true- you can tell me that you don’t *really* believe anything “Rolling Stone” publishes.

Do you?

Surely you can’t be THAT naive and/or that sympathetic to liberal journ-o-lism?

And all this time I thought you saw the world clearly….
