Alert reader Steve T. emailed me this article from mainstream conservative bloggette Cassy Fiano entitled “8 Ways Fascist Feminists Are Ruining America’s Women“. As he puts it:
Cassy gets it. She really does.
Does she? There are lots of women out there who claim to oppose feminism, but their “opposition” is usually tainted in at least one of two ways:
One, they are too attached to one or more of feminism’s perks to fully oppose it. Basically, they pick one or two issues about feminism that they don’t like, such as abortion or sexual promiscuity, and decide they’re against it despite supporting everything else. This characterizes 95 percent of “anti-feminist” mainstream conservative bloggers.
Two, they oppose feminism out of total selfishness, only concentrated on what they think women have lost under it, not giving a thought to how men have been affected by feminism. Pro-Male/Anti-Feminist Tech has written extensively about this, claiming that the primary argument between leftist feminists and conservative anti-feminists is how to best use and abuse men for their own ends. Even in the manosphere, the beating intellectual heart of anti-feminism, I can count the number of women bloggers that I read who genuinely care about men and their plight on one hand – Hestia, Laura Grace Robins, grerp, Susan Walsh, and Female Misogynist. Dr. Helen Smith and Susannah Breslin, though not typically identified with the manosphere, are also women bloggers who care about the suffering of men under feminism. That’s it. (Also note that the five female manosphere bloggers I mentioned are subject to much more vicious attacks from feminists then any other woman in this corner of the Internet.)
But enough of that, let’s go through Cassy’s post point by point to see if she really gets it:
8. Encouraging Promiscuity
Once upon a time, men had to earn sex with a woman. He would have to take her on a series of dates. He would have to enter into a relationship with her to prove his commitment to her. He would have to invest time, money, and emotions into their relationship. The woman held all of the power. Now, men don’t even have to take women onto dates. Often, dating happens after a couple has started sleeping together regularly. Men barely have to put any effort into it anymore, women just give it up hours after meeting random guys at a bar or a party.
This, according to the femisogynists, is called being “empoweredâ€. It’s being in charge of your sexuality. As far as they’re concerned, all that you need to do is get yourself some birth control and you’re A-OK. Emotional consequences? STDs? No problem! As long as you don’t get pregnant, sleeping around is just fine, even if you’re still in high school.
Eh…factually she’s correct, but her reasoning is all wrong and her assumptions are typical right-wing navel-gazing. Conservatives complain about sexual promiscuity, but they never notice that the sexual marketplace has shifted so dramatically that a large amount of men are now left without any companionship. They look at the few men who are getting most of the action and project their successes onto everyone else. And when someone points out the necessity of the coping mechanism – the seduction community and organized teaching of game – they get offended, never once questioning WHY such a entity exists in the first place. I did some digging and found that while Cassy approvingly linked The Fifth Horseman’s “Misandry Bubble” piece when it was released back in January, she had this to say about game:
I know what the Venusian Arts are (they’re disgusting and pathetic) and I’ll admit I don’t agree with that aspect of his essay.
Sigh.
Also note that Cassy argues for pre-feminist dating culture by stating that “the woman held all of the power”, the self-centered attitude we’ve come to expect from so-called anti-feminist women. “It’s all about ME! ME ME ME ME ME!!!” She gets 1 for 8, but solely on a technicality.
7. Sanctioning Victimhood
If a woman loses to a man in an election, it’s because she’s a girl. If a woman doesn’t get a promotion, it’s the patriarchy trying to keep her down. If a man winks at a woman on the street, he’s just trying to keep her in her place. If a woman gets accidentally pregnant, her life is forever ruined and her only option is to get an abortion.
These are some of the attitudes you’ll find in the fascist feminist set.
No argument here. 2 for 8.
6. Dabbling In Misandry
Feminism has gotten a nasty reputation. Radical feminists are to blame for this of course, and they whine about it incessantly. Ask anyone what they think of when they hear the word “feminismâ€, and they’ll almost always think of “man-hatersâ€. And there’s a good reason for it, too. When radical feminists hijacked feminism, a great many of the people involved in the radical feminist movement do indeed hate men.
A large part of the man-hating movement from the fascist feminists involves domestic violence and rape, which are, of course, horrible. The vast majority of men do not beat or rape their wives or daughters and find men that do despicable. But fascist feminists paint all men with a broad brush, so that even men who don’t engage in domestic violence or rape are still somehow responsible for it. And if they aren’t angry, violent oppressors, then they are useless, worthless creatures who are inferior to women. You will find some of the most awful vitriol aimed at men in the fascist feminist movement. The depths of the anger that these women possess is disturbing. Maybe they didn’t have a father growing up, maybe they had a boyfriend who did beat them, but for whatever reason, many of the fascist feminists truly hate men. The only men they approve of are feminized-beta male-Michael Cera-types, who I guess pose no threat to them because they’ll roll over and do anything a woman wants them to do.
Technically this is out of a place considering the title, but holy wow, an anti-feminist woman who…CARES about men? Contrast this with the incredibly silly Laura Wood and her cohort of chivalrous traditionalist male suckups arguing that the men’s movement is gay and that men who are falsely accused of rape should be imprisoned anyway to protect women as a group and this is a sizable step up in comparison. 3 for 8.
5. Destroying Chivalry
One of the easiest ways a man can show respect towards a woman is through chivalrous actions. Opening a door, pulling out a chair, giving up a seat for a lady… actions like these all show deference and respect for a woman. Being willing to protect a woman and put yourself at risk for her shows her value and worth. But for some reason, chivalry has come under attack. Men don’t practice chivalry anymore, to the disappointment of women everywhere.
Why not? Well, according to a poll taken of college men, it’s because of radical feminism. Chivalry has been dubbed sexist. There’s an attitude from women that they don’t need a man. Women act as if chivalrous actions are somehow disrespectful. So why should men continue to be chivalrous? Many, many women are completely unappreciative when men treat them like a lady. And, according to the femisogynists, things like holding doors open for women are totally sexist. Fascist feminists see chivalry as dated, sexist, and demeaning. It doesn’t matter that most women yearn for it deep down. They miss romance, they miss dating, and they miss being treated with respect and honor. How many times do women cry on the phone to their friends that they can’t find a man who treats them well? Killing chivalry has a lot to do with that. Women have been manipulated and conditioned to see chivalry as something antiquated and disrespectful, so they spurn it when they see it. They still crave it though. They’re wanting something better.
Fail. Chivalry existed because women were social inferiors who needed to be protected, not because men felt like being nice to them. If you gals want to be treated like ladies, you have to BEHAVE like ladies – and that means kinder, küche, kirche. If you insist on being our social equals, we will insist on treating you like our social equals. That’s the deal. I doubt Cassy would give up her right to vote for the occasional door-opening, as it would put her out of a job, so she can shut up on this topic. 3 for 8.
4. Attacking Motherhood
What would women say their most important role is as a woman? Could it be high-powered careerwoman? Sexually liberated minx? Pro-abortion activist? Maybe these are the most important roles a radical feminist could play, but for most normal women, their most important role is that of mother.
Think about it. Motherhood is biologically hardwired into us. Most women feel called to have children, and feel that there is nothing more beautiful or precious than a child. It’s why so many women are devastated when they miscarry or can’t have children. It’s also why so many women are destroyed after an abortion — they realize that they’ve just killed their baby.
Again, no argument. 4 for 8.
3. Requiring A Feminist Litmus Test
Nothing angers leftist feminists more than combining the words “feminism†and “Sarah Palin†in a sentence. When Sarah Palin defined herself as a feminist, Jessica Valenti and the feminist left lost their minds. That’s because to the fascist feminists, only certain women count as “real†feminists. Amanda Marcotte even helpfully defined the specific issues that women are supposed to care about. Only women who cater to the liberal extremist agenda can be called feminists to women like Jessica Valenti and Amanda Marcotte.
Consider Sarah Palin, a feminist if there ever was one. She’s an empowered, self-made woman with a high-powered, successful career. She also has five beautiful children, and a loving, supportive husband. She’s even admitted to struggling with the thought of having an abortion, but chose instead to give birth to her son Trig. But because she is a conservative, and because she is pro-life, she is shunned by the fascist feminist set.
Massive fail. Sarah Palin is emblematic of everything that is wrong with American conservatism. She’s a right-liberal masquerading as a conservative and poisoning rightist discourse in the process. No conservative who labels herself as a feminist should ever be taken seriously, much less be given the keys to the car. And for all her tough talk, whenever the liberals went after Palin in the ’08 election, she always played the victim card like a doctrinaire liberal feminist. Remember that whole “lipstick on a pig” crap? Her royal fuckup with Katie Couric? And her abdication of her duties as a mother to pursue a political career likely played a role in her family’s dysfunction (*cough cough* Bristol pregnant *cough cough*). The right needs to reject Sarah Palin if they want to regain any semblance of credibility. 4 for 8.
2. Promoting Lies and Manipulation
The lengths femisogynists will go to in order to keep abortion legal and commonplace are shocking and despicable. The abortion lobby, and Planned Parenthood in particular, profits off of the lies and manipulation of women. Live Action has exposed the dishonesty in their Rosa Acuna Project, which shows how far clinics will go in order to convince a woman to get an abortion. They’ll tell women that there isn’t a baby inside their womb, they’ll lie about the heart beating, or how developed the baby is. Clinics routinely give out medically false information to women, and radical pro-abortion feminists never say a word about lying to women in order to sell an abortion.
But if you really want to anger the fascist feminists, bring up mandatory pre-abortion ultrasounds, which they call emotionally torturous. One mother interviewed by the New York Times about seeing an ultrasound before her abortion said that women “almost have to think of it as an alien†in order to keep the images from haunting them. Of course the images haunt women — it’s an image of their unborn child that they’re about to kill! Seeing that image will convince many women not to have the abortion. And this is why the pro-abortion feminists are so vehemently against making women see an ultrasound first. They claim to be pro-choice, but how can anyone be pro-choice if they can’t make an informed choice?
More conservative claptrap. Abortion doesn’t matter. Gay marriage doesn’t matter. They are but raindrops in the hurricane. Dive for cover or get swept up in the winds. 4 for 8.
1. Glorifying Abortion
There is perhaps nothing more anti-woman than abortion. But the pro-abortion radical feminists have flipped that onto its head, claiming that to be against abortion is to be anti-woman. And this may be the number one way that fascist feminists are destroying women.
TWO points devoted to abortion? Again, I will spell it out for you slowly. Abortion. Is. Irrelevant. It’s a lost cause.  Roe v. Wade will never be overturned. Abortion will stay legal in the West forevermore. You’ll have about as much success trying to ban it as peacenik libtards have had in trying to ban nuclear weapons. Get over it already and start fighting battles that are actually important. 4 for 8.
Verdict: Cassy’s thinking on feminism is half-assed, like most conservatives. Nonetheless, she seems like a promising case (especially when compared to her painfully clueless, similarly named compadre Cassandra of Villainous Company), so I’ve added her to the blogroll. A few months of re-education and she’ll be fighting the good fight.
…
Mark Ba(a)chman has vanished again. The Better Beta blog and website have been deleted, as has his Facebook profile. This is the second time – Mark nuked his old blog back in December.
If you had read the blog’s most recent posts, you should know that Mark and his girlfriend Suki were having relationship issues. As I remarked at Seasons of Tumult and Discord yesterday, girl problems were the cause of his first blog’s death too (as best I can remember). You’d think that would’ve have taught him a lesson, but nope – he even went so far as to give Suki posting privileges.
Let this be a lesson, guys – don’t mix blog business with pleasure. Here’s hoping Mark comes back (again), because he’s one hell of a writer.
…
Finally, here’s a cool two-part documentary from VBS on scopolamine, a Colombian drug that strips people of their free will, allowing them to be raped, robbed and killed with their unthinking consent:
Part two is NSFW:
I love the way the host stares at the hot chick eating dinner next to him in a stereotypically beta, puppy-dog fashion. Tool. And if those two are representative of the average hotness of Colombian girls, I’m definitely gonna have to pay that place a visit (link NSFW).

{ 44 comments… read them below or add one }
Giving his girlfriend posting privileges on his blog makes him seem like he should be called The Lamer Beta.
Why would you even reveal the fact that you are beta to a girl? And posting privileges? Come on….didn’t he learn anything from our community?
I’m surprised at your linear extrapolation, considering how hard you often are on people for doing that. Abortion’s future is hardly secure. At some point, it’ll likely be outlawed in Europe on utilitarian grounds: can’t have a welfare state and a 1.3 birth rate.
[Technological advances that have made abortion safer for women are what have made it impossible to ban. Europe will collapse before abortion is criminalized. - ed.]
Mike T,
The welfare state will perish before women’s ‘right’ to abortion does.
Perhaps, but abortion will disappear in its own right because at that point, society will become a lot more traditional again. It won’t matter what Roe v. Wade says, what will matter is the fact that the majority of people in government will strike it down and have enough guns backing them up to make the judiciary keep its head down.
I served a year at our Embassy in Bogota, and let me assure you: Colombian girls ARE that hot. They even smile, wear dresses and try to be nice to their men. And Americans are high status, very much sought after.
Bogota is world class and pretty safe now. You’d be a fool to miss it!
She uses it to rape men’s assets and men use it to rape her “assets”. I’d call that cosmic justice. All is right with the world in Colombia. I wish the public understood the concept of cosmic justice here in the West, but alas, women’s crimes remain unpunished.
I love how he had his three perps drugged, raped and murdered. If I was on a hypothetical jury for his trial I would acquit him on all charges. The Western feminist-tainted criminal courts simply do not punish female murderers and female sex criminals to the same degree as men. Not even close. Cosmic justice is a bitch.
The Better Beta – gone – nooooo.
Mark – please resurrect your blog – but with no female input.
Mr. Bardamu, any woman who claims that feminism has been high-jacked is suspect, for feminism has been tainted from the beginning. Take a look at The Bostonians by Henry James, or at least the discussion of the book on Laura Wood’s site.
Also, you slanderously claim that Laura Wood said that men falsely accused of rape should be imprisoned anyway. She did not say that, at least in the link provided; Jesse Powell did.
[I didn't say she said that, I said one of her suckups said it. - ed.]
Basil,
You are correct that Jesse Powell and not Laura Wood said it; however, Ferdinand implied nothing but this.
His precise words are:
“Contrast this with the incredibly silly Laura Wood and her cohort of chivalrous traditionalist male suckups arguing that the men’s movement is gay and that men who are falsely accused of rape should be imprisoned anyway to protect women as a group”
It is Laura’s “cohort of chivalrous traditionalist male suckups” who argue such things, rather than Laura herself.
great analysis.
i was one of the cats who e-mailed mark when his blog went down the first time to try’n resurrect it….as soon as i saw him getting that broad involved and then posting ACTUAL pictures of themselves (already bad enough using real names) i knew it was not going to end well.
we live in the age of search & surveillance – the internet ‘gots no heart’.
Well, this is interesting. Cassy makes the point that feminism is ruining America’s women by requiring a litmus test for candidates, offering Sarah Palin as an example of a true feminist. You call this a “massive fail” by calling out lots of things about Palin you don’t like, including her positions on some issues and some things she did during the campaign of which you disapprove…and maybe you’re right maybe you’re wrong. You’re entitled to your opinion. But let’s just agree your points run a little bit light with regard to what Cassy was talking about: Women should have the opportunity to effect big changes in things, while doing the mothering, just like us fellas can while we’re fathering.
In fact, this:
No conservative who labels herself as a feminist should ever be taken seriously, much less be given the keys to the car.
…rather proves Cassy’s point, does it not? You’re imposing precisely the litmus test she just got done talking about.
I’ll make it a point that, if anyone questions the existence of those who are imposing such a litmus test, I’ll send them straight to you. Nicely done.
[You can't call yourself a conservative while supporting a liberal ideology in whole or part. This infiltration of liberal ideas into the conservative body politic is precisely WHY conservatism has failed as a vanguard against liberalism. Conservatives love to complain about RINOs, but so many of them are CINOs which is just as bad if not worse. If Cassy wants the privileges of the pre-feminist world, she should be willing to surrender the rights of the post-feminist one. - ed.]
And of course just like her blogdaddy, Auster, she only posts comments that she likes. Any prevailing argument posted in her ‘comments’ can basically be attributed to her.
@Morgan K Freeberg:
What the fuck are you even talking about? There are always going to be ‘litmus tests’. Some opinions will always be so beyond the pale.
To suggest that any opinion, any range of opinions, be acceptable within the public sphere is itself an ideological litmus test. In such a climate anyone who suggests stifling the speech of others on any grounds would then be blacklisted for failing that litmus test.
Fuck free speech, and non-jugmentalism, and ‘charity’ and all of that other bullshit. That is entirely the problem. More tolerance of bullshit isn’t going to result in less net bullshit. Less tolerance is where it’s at.
So what the fuck is wrong with Fascism exactly anyway? I’m sure as hell they would get that desperately wanted abortion ban right quick (can’t promise they wouldn’t kill a lot of the post-natal population as a side effect, but w/e).
Thanks for posting the Cassie article, and far more for fisking it. I gained further knowledge from your consideration and take-down.
My logic in sending the article, and giving her props:
Point 8): I absolutely agree with your dismissal of her logic, but that you gave her the point anyway. Coming to the correct conclusion from incorrect premises is not the best method, but it shows promise. I would ask you to look at the issue from her woman’s point of view: I submit to you that to most women, betas are mostly invisible. Alphas do most of the hitting and scoring on women, and the occasional beta that grasps his sac and steps up to a woman is dismissed as an outlier. As for her dismissal of Game, well, if your major exposure to Game is Mystery, I wouldn’t expect much approval of it. I get the impression that she hasn’t much considered the elements of modern-day relations between the sexes or the equalizing effects of Game, let alone how differences within each gender group play out. After all, she’s a girl. Girls don’t need to seduce: even the most heinous troll can get laid eventually, since she has a vagina. Don’t forget the solipsism! A very wise man once told me that!
He reasoning on 7) and 6) are what impelled me to send you the article. I was amazed that a woman recognized that feminists indulge in victimhood and dabble in misandry. The fact that she sees feminists’ inculcation of man-hate into their protégées as ruining women stunned me! (Oh, FB, thanks for the round-up of women bloggers who actually care about men.)
Point 5): I’m not sure that Cassie wouldn’t give up her right to vote if things could go back to a saner world for both men and women. She is married to a Marine, and she’s criticized women who play when their man is deployed. It brings me back to Roissy’s (Chateau’s?!?) post comparing the Alpha of yesteryear (a weary GI) with the Alpha of today (Mystery in makeup). I suspect (although I don’t know) that she’d willing lead the charge back to a better world, even if it meant some limitations on women’s behavior. (If she finds this post, maybe she’d care to comment.)
Point 4): again, hurray for Cassie! As a gun-owning patriarch with four children myself, I applaud her recognition of woman’s role. They have the womb. We don’t. That’s that.
Point 3): I share your distaste of Sarah Palin in spades, so I tend to agree—however, what I think Cassie was driving at was the fascist feminists’ condemnation of Palin for thoughtcrime against the doubleplusgood goodthink of Real Feminism©. After all, in the Orwellian world of Real Feminism©, any crimethinker is subject to becoming an unperson for the slightest deviation from goodthink, and I believe that Cassie’s reacting to that. As for her choice of Palin, please name another nationally-known female who dares swerve from the feminist canon. Palin is a useless poser, but she’s what Cassie’s got.
Point 2): well, I wish Cassie had not focused exclusively on abortion, but had instead talked about feminists’ predilection for lying about anything that they believe will serve their agenda. But I gave (and give) her props for recognizing and proclaiming the scary truth that feminism uses lies as a core tactic and educate women to rely on lies to win their cultural victories.
Point 1): this is where I believe you are not criticizing her fairly. Her thesis is “How Fascist Feminists Are Ruining American Women.†Whether or not abortion is a settled question in this country is entirely irrelevant to her statements that a) feminists push abortion (objectively true and empirically verifiable) and b) abortion harms women. I believe that her point that abortion harms women coincides exactly with the points you and Roissy (what’s up with that Chateau shit?!?) have been making:
a) Women are hypergamous by nature.
b) When women indulge their hypergamous nature, they become sexually degraded.
c) When women become sexually degraded, Alphas benefit, Betas lose.
d) When Betas lose, Western civilization spirals toward inevitable collapse.
e) Current Western civilization, across the board, encourages women to indulge their hypergamous nature.
f) Ergo, current Western civilization is spiraling toward inevitable collapse.
Fair enough summary?
Abortion is an element of one of the Four Sirens of the Sexual Apocalypse (http://roissy.wordpress.com/2008/01/14/dont-get-married/). Abortion is the ultimate fail-safe contraceptive. If women weren’t boning every sleazy Alpha, and instead were living up to their part of the traditional societal contract between men and women, abortion would drop back to the negligible levels that obtained before Roe vs. Wade/Doe vs. Bolton. After all, it’s all part of detaching sex from reproduction for women, which is a core feminist goal. Ride the meat merry-go-round, never need to face the consequences of a child (which does generally require a woman to modify her natural solipsism, because hey, there’s another person here that’s totally dependent on me). Ergo, abortion harms women.
Where I do agree with your critique is in that criticizing abortion is a false priority, since abortion is at the end of the chain. Soft polygamy is the real enemy (cue video of me ripping photo of Mae West in half)—I agree with you whole-heartedly. For myself, I’d give Cassie the point on the same grounds she got the point on 8); she senses the problem, but doesn’t yet comprehend the totality of it. She’s emerging from a false perspective hammered into her by the culture, or what’s left of it (bows in the general direction of Theodore Dalrymple). I guess I’m just inclined to extend her credit. As you say, she can be re-educated.
Again, thanks.
I stand corrected then, and I see your point. I’m grateful to you for settling it once and for all:
Feminism is a political ideology. Feminism is hardcore left-wing politics. Anyone who disagrees with it, can “oppose feminism,” and this doesn’t indicate a desire to put women in the kitchen or take the vote away from them. Glad you’re on my side on this thing.
If anybody ever tries to tell me otherwise, that it’s just about equal-opportunity and suffrage — I shall send them your way as well. Then you can ask THEM what the fuck they’re talking about too.
It’s disappointing to see The Better Beta gone AGAIN. This is why I don’t tell any girlfriend of mine about my blog. That and it reveals personal info like I was a virgin less than a year ago which I don’t want them to know.
a) Women are hypergamous by nature.
b) When women indulge their hypergamous nature, they become sexually degraded.
c) When women become sexually degraded, Alphas benefit, Betas lose.
d) When Betas lose, Western civilization spirals toward inevitable collapse.
e) Current Western civilization, across the board, encourages women to indulge their hypergamous nature.
So far, so good.
f) Ergo, current Western civilization is spiraling toward inevitable collapse.
We now live in a world of rapid adaptations. Game at the top of the market, and 3-D/VR at the bottom of the market, will transfer the costs of female hypergamy away from men and back onto women.
Since technology always finds a way to advance, the obstacles to such advancement, the artificially high privileges that women currently enjoy, will be what topples in the process.
Steve T,
In other words, since Beta males are the creators of technology, and technological advancement forces every other force to bow before it, technology will find a way to make the Beta male create more technology.
Thus, two technologies : Game at the top of the market, and 3-D/VR at the bottom of the market, will keep men satisfied enough to do their work.
So women have to lose out in the process. The inevitability of technological advancement necessitates it. Women smart enough to NOT oppose this (i.e. women who make good wives) will not suffer.
“I can count the number of women bloggers that I read who genuinely care about men and their plight on one hand – Hestia, Laura Grace Robins, grerp, Susan Walsh, and Female Misogynist. Dr. Helen Smith and Susannah Breslin, . . . ”
How many fingers do you have on that hand?
[Eight. My momma drank irradiated tap water when she was pregnant with me. - ed.]
Just noted the punctuation scheme, but the last two would fit in by your definition.
Technology does not always find a way to advance.
Examples: the first Dark Age, from around 1100 BC, to roughly 600 BC. GONE: all major cities in the Eastern Med, and Babylonia, excepting Upper Egypt. Gone: Metalworking. Gone: trade. Gone: shipbuilding. Gone: Chariot building. Gone: Major agriculture (excepting again, Upper Egypt). Gone: Wine and Beer making (again, excepting Upper Egypt).
The Second Dark Age, from around 450 AD to 1000 AD in Western Europe, saw the collapse of again, all major cities, no coinage at all until the late 800′s, like the first Dark Ages a collapse in population of about 1/3rd the rate before, and average height about a foot shorter (severe malnutrition), no major weaponry advance, losses in use of waterwheels for milling, sawing, hammering, and so on. It took until the 1200′s for Europe to recover the textile, brewing, wine-making ability of the Romans, until the 1500′s for coinage to recover, until the 1800′s for civil engineering, roads, sewage systems, waterworks to recover. Cement making and usage common to the Romans up to 450 AD was not recovered until the 1930′s.
Once Beta collapse happens, generally societies do not recover, ever, from it.
This is something female bloggers generally dismiss. For them, technology is supremely divorced from the (nearly all beta) men who create it. Something that just happens. Like chicken and pork and beef arriving at the Supermarket.
whiskey,
Aside from minor blips, yes, technology always finds a way to advance. Take my word for it on this.
the first Dark Age, from around 1100 BC, to roughly 600 BC.
The ‘dark age’ in Europe had many advances in China and India at the time.
The Second Dark Age, from around 450 AD to 1000 AD in Western Europe
In Europe perhaps, but Arabia and China advanced a lot during that same period. You have to revise your assumptions of the Dark Ages with what non-European regions were doing during those same centuries.
Now, if you mean that civilizations are continuously displaced by others, yes, that happens, and frankly should not evoke any more sentimentality than an industry or a large corporation experiencing the same. If a Beta Male is better off going to Asia, so be it. But technology always finds a way to advance – maybe not always in the same geography, but overall, it does.
Unless you want to claim that Moore’s Law is about to stop…..
but they never notice that the sexual marketplace has shifted so dramatically that a large amount of men are now left without any companionship
Admittedly, seeing my widowed mother and never married grandmother and godmother living solitary lives past sixty makes one appreciate the idea of companionship more, but I think the problem that is that these men rather hard to achieve that companionship. Even in a low divorce world, I think it remains to be seen if there’s value in marrying some average looking women and having tepid sex with her for nearly twenty to thirty years in exchange for taking care of her and your children. I’ll see MRA types and sympathizers like yourself prattle on about the end of the Western civilization due to males dropping out, but quite frankly, I can understand why they’re willing to drop out because it’s just too hard and you get very little return. Even I’m mulling over suicide in lieu of working harder to take care of my mother because I want the easy way out.
Expanded :
Unless you want to claim that Moore’s Law is about to stop, AND that women are about to figure out how to detect and thwart Game (assuming they even want to after they grasp what it is) en masse, making all Game obsolete.
Not gonna happen….
Even I’m mulling over suicide
DON’T commit suicide, you fool.
Your will be punishing your poor mother in a very selfish manner. There is no pain greater that you could inflict on her.
Also, technologies to help even an Omega like you feel less depressed will arrive by the time you are 35.
Hang in there.
(did I just take the troll bait? I suppose I did….)
Steve beat me to the point about abortion being the ultimate fail-safe contraception. Ultimately, abortion screws with the natural sexual marketplace by reducing the risks of sex. Guys like Mystery were much rarer in a pre-contraceptive age. Most female pro-lifers wouldn’t frame it in these terms, but abortion played a major role in creating what you see as the real problem, Ferd. You can say that reversing Roe is unlikely, but it’s probably more likely than the bulk of the MRA agenda, especially the proposed repeal of the 18th Amendment.
[The 18th amendment WAS repealed - but I get your point. And Roe itself is only part of the abortion issue. Contemplating writing a post on it. - ed.]
Also, in a free society, women have to be convinced feminism is hurting them directly if it is to be successfully counteracted. A woman fully in the feminist mindset won’t settle just because men are going their own way.
[True, but exclusively focusing on that issue makes me wonder as to their motivations. The goal of any movement should be to create a better world than the one that came before. Many anti-feminist women seem to me like they want to have their cake and eat it too.]
Maybe it is not my business to comment on American politics, being an Australian, but I agree about Sarah Palin. She is pretty, she has some OK views, but she is a phoney. You just can’t BE a good mom and wife who happens to govern Alaska. It’s nonsense on the face of it.
I have lost confidence in The Thinking Housewife. She stopped posting my comments when I started pointing out just how unrealistic her “man up and everything will be OK for conservative males” advice really is. Vanessa, an Internet friend of mine, had the same problem with comments. The Thinking Housewife also changes comments and does not indicate that she has. I think she is basically a “good egg” but she is sort of Auster-in-a-pinafore. She is also, like most women bloggers, kind of weird. She is now posting about corsets.
[She's Auster's protege. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. - ed.]
A female blogger who I think really does have her heart in the right place is the other Laura, from Full of Grace … The feminists loathe her.
Not sure about abortion. As a Traditional Catholic, I pray that it becomes less popular. I think people will come to like it less, although the chance of legal change is not very strong. But I would not write this off. Societal views can change quickly.
My wife found a lot of my blog comments recently. She was a bit upset, but no permanent damage was done. I think she was a bit titillated actually. Women are not analytical, and I don’t think they will “get” game and develop countermeasures. I mean, I can analyse my reactions all I like, but a nice pair of legs on a girl will always work its magic on me.
The Better Beta looked like it was about to melt down. I hope my comments there, just before it disappeared, did not contribute to the problem. I wrote something about “no blood on the sheets, no wedding ring.”
Yes, DA, don’t commit suicide. You are a Catholic, aren’t you?
When I first got into Game (several years ago), I just thought it was a great way to get action.
But the more I see about conservatives, the more I see that Game is necessary for every man, just to survive.
Conservatives are pushing more men INTO Game, which is exactly the opposite of what they want.
When conservatives (both male and female) talk, telling men to ‘man up and be more chivalrous’, Game looks better and better for the average man.
I think we have to start confronting conservatives about the Contract Between the Sexes. Conservatives are utterly incapable of saying that women have any obligations whatsoever. They will dodge the questions with great cowardice when we pose the Contract Between the Sexes to them.
Game works on all women, even wives. That is the best use of game for me. It gets me what I want in bed. Also, the more I game her and the more she “hates” me, the more weight my wife loses. Her skirt was loose on her yesterday, and she has lost 5 kg in three weeks, all of this while I have been gaming her and she has been “hating” me. Asking her nicely for years did not make her lose weight. Behaving like an “asshole” did.
I am not sure about conservative women, so-called, but traditional women should have no problem with game. A traditional husband rules his wife, and anything that helps him do this effectively belongs in his armamentarium.
The war against feminism will be a guerrilla war, fought in the bedrooms and kitchens of the Western World.
Mr. Bardamu and Snark:
The post reads: “Contrast this with the incredibly silly Laura Wood and her cohort of chivalrous traditionalist male suckups arguing that the men’s movement is gay and that men who are falsely accused of rape should be imprisoned anyway to protect women as a group ”
i.e. (X and Y) argue (A and B), i.e. that both X and Y argue both A and B, that Laura and her cohorts make both arguments. There is no use of the word ‘respectively’ or something similar to indicate otherwise, nor any distinction between Laura and her cohorts as to what they believe. (I didn’t investigate argument A.) I figured you weren’t actually slandering her, but the sentence is imprecisely constructed, unless my understanding of English syntax is horribly awry.
[It's not the best wording, but I trust my readers are smart enough to figure out my meaning. - ed.]
Taking a ‘with us or against us’ accounting of authors, regardless of their merit is in bad taste.
All that said, your average grandmother is a better critic of feminism than these reconstructed ‘anti-feminists.’ It’s like what Larry Auster says about neocons and modern conservatives and liberalism, the anti-feminists for the most part criticize what they see as excesses of feminism, which are actually the inescapable outcomes of a doctrine they accept, feminism.
IMO, Way of the Superior Man is a great relevant read (tantric sex practices excepted).
Just read through that post at Thinking Housewife and, wow, Jesse Powell does actually say you men should take one for the team or, wait, the other team. I wonder if that includes going to prison/losing everything for members of the other team who troll Craigslist Casual Encounters for soul healing and wind up in the morgue.
Thanks for the linkage, Ferdinand, and for your kind comments.
It is the tone that is a giveaway with some anti-feminists too. There is a blogger who claims to be feminine to the highest degree, but recently posted a preening note along the lines that now that women have shown they are fully equal to men, she feels comfortable submitting to her future (non-existent) husband. I pointed out to her that winning a rigged game is not evidence of equality and that most of the important innovation I see around me still seems to emanate from white men. e.g. the Internet.
One gets a sort of condescending tone from a lot of female anti-feminists: “Why don’t you boys buck up?”, “You can be empowered like me”, “Men are cute and we like to have you around”.
On the topic of game, I once read a book by a woman who claimed to have a method to infallibly give a woman an orgasm during sex. It was based on the man holding back and keeping the woman waiting physically for as long as possible. The idea was that being teased and maddened like that would get the woman to orgasm. This book was written years ago, and I can’t remember the title, although I have seen similar ideas on a male blog a while back. It has recently occurred to me that what the female writer was really doing, without being fully aware of it, was encouraging men to “game” their wives in bed. Get her a bit turned on, and then keep her waiting.
Basil Ransom,
“but the sentence is imprecisely constructed,”
I concede that it could have been read either way.
But that’s Ferdinand’s problem, not mine.
FB,
Even of Roe v. Wade were overturned, it wouldn’t be a great change like feminists and conservatives think. Why? Because overturning Roe v. Wade would merely refer the matter of abortion back to the states. While some states would no doubt ban abortion, there would still be states allowing it.
That said, I think you’re right; Roe v. Wade will never be overturned.

And the ‘Thinking’ Housewife posted it, sans rebuttal of merit.
The worse thing about this and so many other socon position like it, is that logically extended it works for anything. Why even be pro-life? Offended by the murder of children? I mean, just ‘man up’ right? Affirmative Action, creeping socialism, population replacement of North America? Just man up. I mean sure, some societal ill is being done by these things and some people will be hurt that shouldn’t be, but ultimately it is the highest moral duty for white men to work on the behalf of minorities and unburden women from things like cooking, cleaning and raising children. Right?!
Every left-wing argument that conservatives supposedly reject, they hold to be true for white women.

On this theme, there is a rather disturbing, and yet somehow amusing, scene in the movie Ghost Dog.. The reviewer here misses the point. (http://www.premiere.com/Review/Movies/Ghost-Dog-The-Way-of-the-Samurai
Of the great tragedies in, and points of absurdity to, the present gender and sexual order is the following fact. While men may typically not understand women fully, or their motivations, or their natures; women almost never understand men’s natures and motivations. When they do it’s rare.
Of the few who do, many still make a classic mistake – making the whole of opposite gender’s nature into a pathology. This is because, rather than understanding why some things exist, in the grand order of nature, they simply become horrified by what they see.
Typically un-self reflective, they show no horror at the depths of their own gender’s nature, which leads me to assume that they may actually have no clue about their own nature. I know my own gender’s nature pretty well, both in good and ill. A few feminists whom I’ve met are as reflective, but it’s a rare thing.
Actually neither gender, typically, has a clear idea of each other’s virtues, or potentially monstrous excesses. But Women often seem particularly incapable of seeing the male nature, and what it means to be a man in the world, for better or for worse.
Only an utterly unexposed naif truly wants to “be a man’s equal” on an equal playing field. A naif or masochists. I’ve dated masochists before.. interesting people..
Anyway, such “equality” can lead to frequently broken bones. A man’s world can be rather brutal, emotionally and physically. There are clear biological reasons why this is the case, when women were treated as, and viewed as, ladies there was a greater realization of this.
Social engineering cannot “fix” things that are of human nature, by design because of the blindingly obvious reason that they work. If you try to “fix” things that have their roots in necessary defense mechanisms and survival mechanisms then such fixing is probably a rather stupid thing to do.
Folks just don’t reflect on things like they used to. A pity. I think they make things far more complex than they need to be.
Anyone out there reading this who would potentially ask me in person, with an accusatory tone ‘well, what do you really mean by this” frankly doesn’t get it. There’s no sub text, what you see is what you get. The whole idea of equality is totally misunderstood in the West today. Social hierarchies are misunderstood, indeed sex itself is misunderstood, but we knew that already.
And now, I step off from my pulpit…
Thanks FB and David C. Please call me out if I ever start to lose my way.
FB, Glad you covered the Fiano article. I saw it earlier and was going to do something with it. Not much more I can add. She is a classic example of a conservative feminist. All anyone has to do anymore is mention the Palin word and I need not know more.
FB
I knew Cassy Fiano was a feminist when she said in a post that a husband ought to support his wife’s choice to work, or her choice to stay home. Those weren’t her exact words, but they’re close enough. I knew right there that she was spouting feminist BS. Hence, I never took her seriously, let alone read her much.

I liked your latest post, Laura. I had already seen that ridiculous article on narcissism. It was a blatant attempt to pathologise normal male behaviour, one of the worst I have seen. And the references to Mel Gibson were laughable.
Too bad the Better Beta blog was removed; interestingly it seems there’s no way to retrieve Lesson 5: Operation Bag the Beta.
Copied my earlier response:
Hey guys,
The stuff I posted was from my old blog. Nothing new there (except the photos). I brought Suki into it to prove a point after I told her she couldn’t handle to know what men really think – and she swore otherwise.
Snowflaking by a beautiful woman in real time. You should thank me. No one else has the balls to do it – then again, I’m VERY sensitive to and acknowledge the fact that many writers probably have much more to lose than I do.
God damn I love being right.
The old blog was deleted when my boss’ daughter saw it. So girl drama yes, but not the kind you’re thinking of.
I’m not much of a blogger, so that stuff will be sifted through, have the beta rage deleted, and be reposted all at once in the next year or so. I’ll take my laptop to a nice beach in Cancun soon, and put my thoughts on paper.
Come on now, y’all know there’s no such thing as a Better Beta. You’re either a man or you’re a pussy. There’s no in between worth celebrating.
See you soon, but if I do it right, you won’t know its me!
Oh, forgot to mention that I did learn one fun thing through my little experiment:
It is impossible to kill a rationalization hamster. You can starve it, poison it, logic with it, reason with it, provide third party evidence and empirical data, and even feed it’s own words back to it, but it only grows stronger.
I think this may actually be the secret to the origin of the universe. The only other thing I can think of that would be as resilient and have the ability to create something out of nothing like that damn hamster would be God almighty himself.
Mark, please re-upload Lesson 5: Operation Bag the Beta… It’s a very handy reference indeed!
