WEEKLY STANDARD SURRENDERS TO ROISSYIST REDUCTIONISM
If you have the time, be sure to read the featured article for this month’s issue of The Weekly Standard, entitled “The New Dating Game“. The piece is a depressing reminder of how thoroughly Darwinist, reductionist thinking has penetrated the conservative movement. In particular, writer Charlotte Allen takes her cues from the destructive, nihilistic, cultlike Game movement, even interviewing the Grand Whoremonger Roissy himself:
Roissy’s deliberately outrageous posts are a source of controversy. In a write-up on George Sodini, the man who shot up a gym near Pittsburgh last August, killing 3 women before turning the gun on himself, Roissy contended that Sodini, whose diary revealed that he had not had sex for 20 years before the incident, was simply a frustrated beta barred access to women by the sexual/feminist revolution and that “anything was justified†to avoid the “walking death†of celibacy. In other words, Sodini was a hapless victim of the sexual revolution.
Every artifact of biological reductionist thinking is on display in that article. It is truly desolating to see even respectable organs of mainstream conservatism succumb to the soulless nihilism and moral degeneracy of Roissy and his acolytes. The one lesson we can take from this is that most “conservatives” are not to be trusted, as they are merely liberals in conservative clothing. Nothing they say is to be taken at face value.

This is further proof that the Roissyites are nothing more than a bunch of spoiled, lazy children throwing tantrums. Not having sex won’t kill you. The Roissyites’ divination of sex, a trope of liberalism, is proof positive that no conservative who takes them seriously should be taken seriously.

You have a good ability to imitate Auster’s writing style. I just would have held off on publishing this until Auster had noticed and posted something on the Weekly Standard piece, as he probably will. Because now he’ll notice this satire and might fixate on the perceived Gamers’ attack on him, which would alter his perception of the Weekly Standard piece.

I’m hoping the WS piece will reignite the Game Wars of the summer of 2009 again. I have my mattresses ready. That piece (and your thumb in Auster’s eye) is just the catalyst we need to liven things up around here again.
Auster is probably right up there with Sailer as one of my favorite and most influential writers and conservative thinkers. But his anti-Game stance and his general prudeness is somewhat annoying.
Is VFR his main source of income?!?! How does he stay afloat on that? And if so, how can I start blogging full time myself?

Off topic, I know, but did you notice that LR responded to you over at my blog again, FB? Apparently this 29 year-old-mother has nothing better to do with her time than falsely accuse men of being rapists, woman-beaters and pedophiles over the internet. I remember back in the “good old days” when I only had to compete with my brother and father for my mother’s emotional abuse – poor Lady Raine’s children have to compete with nearly all the men in the world for LR’s special attention!

Auster is very insightful on his analysis of liberalism, but he gets so twisted over Roissy et al., that he can’t acknowledge the truth of his logic. If Roissy held all the same views but was happily and faithfully married, Auster would not heap such calumny on him. Roissy’s vices blind him to the virtues of his argument.
