WordPress just works better than Blogger. I have a low activity blog on Blogger and the links never come out right.
Well, I went the other way.
Wordpress suddenly shut down my old “alpha-status” blog without any explanation and left me with nothing but what was saved in google cache.
Be careful, guys.
Blogger has been known to do that, too. It’s definitely a problem in both platforms really.

+1 for me. Moved from blogspot two months ago. Wordpress is better in every way imaginable.
Both The False Rape Society and Tom Snark (Remasculation) use Blogger, and as of this moment, I cannot seem to use FireFox 3.5.7 to post comments to either [Bad Request Error 400]. MS Internet Explorer seems to work however. And, by this getting through, Firefox seems to be working with Wordpress.
I’m both wondering if I am alone in having this problem, and if this also tends to suggest teh superiority and better reliability of Worpress?
Something else to note – Worpress allows the use of the [blockquote] tags to set off quoted material for much easier reading. Blogspot (or Blogger, or whatever it is…) does not.
WordPress is to blogs what Yahoo was once to Webmail.. The first well done and relatively trouble free implementation of a new concept.
It will be interesting to see who becomes the gmail of blogs..

Wordpress.

For WordPress hosted blogs you can use the export function to backup your blog.
From the admin screen choose Tools and then Export from the side panel.
Click the Download Export File button and save the file. That will allow you restore to WordPress. I think it is a proprietary format that t may not work with other blogging platforms. It is better than no back up though.
I prefer the commenting on WordPress blogs. While I like the preview feature of Blogger, I do not like the fussiness of Blogger’s popup comment page and the relative lack of formatting options
[even if I have screwed up my <blockquotes&/gt; more than a few times.]
[Comment preview may be available as a plugin or on newer versions of WordPress.]
There are few things I wish were better with wordpress, but overall its better than blogger. Plus, I want to degoogleize this part of my life.
And FB, you should try installing the wpTouch plugin for when this site is viewed on smartphones and the like.
Another template change! I’ve been thinking about doing the same myself, but I need to find one that is just perfect.
Please get rid of the gray background!
