There was a time in the not-so-distant past that none of these twelve women would want to be identified for fear of earning the title of “loose woman” from the rest of our society. Now they come forward in the media and proudly announce that they have slept with a married father of young children.
We used to have a word for that: homewrecker. We also had another word: slut.
One would think these women would be ashamed, but they are not. Women are very competitive in how alluring they are to men in much the same way young men are competitive about how many tackles they made, how many home runs they hit, or how many three point shots they nailed. They brag about how many men “hit on them” or ask-them-out. These sluts, having no social conscience, are proud that a wealthy married man would risk his marriage to have a fling with them.
A secular society, if one is to survive and thrive with replacement birthrates, is going to have to find a way to either enforce social shaming mechanisms, or will have find a way to succesfully grapple with huge numbers of fatherless children. Good luck on the latter option. I dont think that is possible for a low IQ population like the one we are importing.
Society has become so debased that not only does slutting it up in such an immoral fashion not carry any social repercussions, it’s actually something to be PROUD of. And no one bats an eyelash at this. But for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, and the reaction to this normalization of promiscuity will be the slow death of LTRs and commitment. The fires will not abate. We truly are doomed.

Will. Never. Happen. Secularism is tied to liberalism, and all liberalism, be it “classical liberalism” or “modern liberalism” puts radical individual autonomy before all other things from honoring one’s word, to being just toward one’s neighbor. This is why I have mocked (my fellow?) libertarians for making marriage the black sheep of contracts by making it the one contract that is not only not sacred in any respect, but nearly virtuous to break it whenever it becomes inconvenient.
The problem is not with loss of traditional morality, but the absence of a newer morality to keep up with a changing society.
Old morality works well in old society (and is linked to it’s constraints). However, newer society has many more choices and possibilities thus undermining old morality. I might write a post about this issue, with a rather peculiar example.
Shame and modesty are a thing of the past. I’ve been saying this for years. What values (or rather, lack thereof) the Me generation passed on has become the Look At Me generation. Notoriety for the notorious, celebrities famous for being infamous…
That is actually not true. There were a greater range of sexual choices in the ancient world that were socially acceptable from hookups, to polygamy, to prostitution, to pornography, to orgies, to pederasty.
What has undermined morality is that people choose to behave that way and not hold others accountable.

oh wait, i got it. tiger was a golf player (read that omega of all sporting pursuits). if he was a rockstar, politician, fighter, hell, nascar driver……this wouldn’t be a big deal. tiger was always a pretty boy and put himself forth as such…he violated the pact he made with the public by violating the image he put forth….that is why he is hated/resented now.
