It’s becoming pretty obvious that Dennis Mangan’s blog was nuked by Google for political reasons. Larry Auster weighs in:
That Blogger not only blocked (or even deleted) Mangan’s blog, but did so without giving him any notice or any party to contact to find out what is the problem, is beyond outrageous. And the idea that they would do this to a blog on the basis of a single complaint shows a totalitarian mentality.
If this is the way Blogger, which is part of Google, treats a blog that uses its service, then right-wing bloggers are not safe using Blogger and operating within the Blogger domain.
Al Fin also adds his thoughts:
Anyone who maintains a Google blog (including blogspot and blogger), needs to understand how vague and inappropriate Google’s terms of service are, regarding how, why, when, and where it may choose to delete a blogger’s intellectual property.
Also via Al Fin, a commenter at Half Sigma’s posted a ZIP backup of Mangan’s blog:

In light of this and other events in this corner of the blogosphere, I’m doubly glad I decided to invest in my own domain. WordPress is much less draconian then Blogger, but even they have been known to shut down blogs without explanation. If you’ve got a Blogger or WordPress blog, I advise making regular XML backups to be safe. Nothing stings like having a huge body of work destroyed in an instant.

FB: I appreciate your posts on this fiasco. Whatever the problem is, what is totally outrageous is that Google will not explain themselves, just delete and a big FU. I’ll be back up elsewhere soon.
It’s outrageous, actually. And quite telling about Google.
Dennis, when you’re back up and running I’ll be sure to put a post on my blog with your new link. Just let me know.
Clearly, there is an entrepreneurial opportunity here for someone to set up a conservative-friendly blog-hosting service.
