FUCK YOU.
That’s my name…
What? I have to wait until next week?!?!
IMO: GGR is a hugely overrrated movie. I much preferred Boiler Room and Wall Street. I was actually quite bored with GGR.
I think they were trying to recreate “Death of a Salesman”, so no, not super exciting, though it did have its moments.
For the record, ABC is awesome dating advice. I go for the kiss close on every first date now, and it both gives me alpha cred and weeds out the flakes and friend-zoners.
Pat Riley clearly deserved the Oscar he won for his work in “Wall Street”.
Keep in mind, the man had time to guide the Lakers to a championship in the same year he played the unforgettable Gordon Gekko. Impressive.

Boiler Room and Wall Street may be better as a whole, but neither of them has a scene even close to this one.
@ Thursday:
True. This is a classic scene, though in Boiler Room Ben Afleck does a pretty good impersonation.
